In recent years, unemployment has become a global issue facing young people. Although many young people earn a one form of higher education or the other, and many even proceed to obtaining advanced degrees, many of them still struggle to find jobs in their chosen industries. There are many reasons for the rise in unemployment, including a lack of jobs and a growing population.
Despite these facts, one field that has brought hope to many youths of today is the field of computer and technology. Over the last few decades, the world has witnessed revolutionary transformation and turn-around in the way things are done. This was largely through the technological advancement that was witnessed over time in every facet of human endeavor. The future and the world we live in now is solely at the mercy of Technology. The truth of the matter is that Technology has played a key role in the turnaround of events in this century. This means Technology needs to be embraced more and we need to leverage on the power of Tech as a tool to advance our lives in future both at an individual and collective level.
Today, my goal is to show you a few Tech careers that any youth of today should consider – with the confidence that the issues of unemployment he or she is facing will become a forgone conclusion. Let’s look at a few of them.

These people create entertainment, advertising, news and features in all forms, including print publications and digital media such as game machines, television, web browsers, as well as social platforms. Graphic designers are design professionals that create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, as well as captivate consumers. Social media marketing takes advantage of social networking to help a company increase brand exposure and broaden customer reach. The goal is to create content compelling enough that users will like, not just to connect or buy, but also share the information about the business or company with their social networks.
