Now That You’Ve Been Selected By the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Your Next Steps (Must Do Steps for Winners of the TEF 5 $5000 Seed Grant Cohort Winners).
Since last month when the results of the TEF 5 Cohort Application was released, my phone has not ceased to beep for testimonials from several winners cut across all of Africa. Indeed, my heart, just as yours, is elated. I am super happy for you all.
I know what $5000, that is, N1.5million means for a new start-up. I have been there before. It takes the load off you and helps you know how to start, grow and expand your business. With N1.5million you do not need to worry about salary, raw materials, etc. again. You can now focus on your business.

Finally and most importantly, you need to write a TEF-business plan. I call it a TEF-business plan because they have their own special format. It is an Accenture standard business plan. They’ve been using it for the last 3 years now. Definitely, they might change it this year but it is the same principles they’ll use to mark it. This reminds me of Tobi. He had his business plan rejected at least 4 times. This was simply because he made a fundamental mistake with his financial plan. We had to rewrite the entire business plan before it was Approved. This year, you can scale through the back-and-forth by contacting professional help early enough.
I even encourage you to get the business plan before the 12 weeks training because it will help you understand the lessons better and you can begin to see how the lessons applies to your business.
Other steps includes Online Mentoring, Online Resource Library, Notarization, Corporate Account Opening, and the TEF Entrepreneurship Forum (grand finale event), etc.
Then finally the $5000 Seed Capital.
