Now That You’Ve Been Selected By the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Your Next Steps (Must Do Steps for Winners of the TEF 5 $5000 Seed Grant Cohort Winners).
Since last month when the results of the TEF 5 Cohort Application was released, my phone has not ceased to beep for testimonials from several winners cut across all of Africa. Indeed, my heart, just as yours, is elated. I am super happy for you all.
I know what $5000, that is, N1.5million means for a new start-up. I have been there before. It takes the load off you and helps you know how to start, grow and expand your business. With N1.5million you do not need to worry about salary, raw materials, etc. again. You can now focus on your business.
Lest we forget, I hope you have all received the due diligence mail from Tony Elumelu Foundation. That step is to secure the money.
There is a plan my team and I have organized for all winners like you. It is to ensure that you go through the process of collecting the money seamlessly. Make sure you share this mail to other winners you know. We want to ensure nobody losses this money through carelessness.
I hope you know the next steps to take?
Now, I have received several calls, mails, WhatsApp chat and text from winners like you (sample below) asking for the next steps to be taken and I have decided to share the necessary steps to be taken with you and also how we can help you.
In order to eventually get the money, you must ensure you respond appropriately to the Due Diligence question which includes submitting proof of identification, proof of address, business registration certificate, Signed Consent from Partners for those with business partners, and Hi-resolution headshot.
PS: This step is already on going or concluded, I should say. You should have done yours already by now.
Next, you have to register your Business Name for those whose business are yet to be registered, call me on +234 810 563 6015 or +234 807 635 9735 Now to register your business.
Next, you go through the Start-up Enterprise Toolkit. This is the twelve (12) weeks online training, classes and assessment. This pillar is the crux of the TEF program and you must ensure you do this very well. It is from here the foundation will begin to assess your seriousness for this Grant money. The conclusion of this step is the business plan.
Finally and most importantly, you need to write a TEF-business plan. I call it a TEF-business plan because they have their own special format. It is an Accenture standard business plan. They’ve been using it for the last 3 years now. Definitely, they might change it this year but it is the same principles they’ll use to mark it. This reminds me of Tobi. He had his business plan rejected at least 4 times. This was simply because he made a fundamental mistake with his financial plan. We had to rewrite the entire business plan before it was Approved. This year, you can scale through the back-and-forth by contacting professional help early enough.
I even encourage you to get the business plan before the 12 weeks training because it will help you understand the lessons better and you can begin to see how the lessons applies to your business.
Other steps includes Online Mentoring, Online Resource Library, Notarization, Corporate Account Opening, and the TEF Entrepreneurship Forum (grand finale event), etc.
Then finally the $5000 Seed Capital.
We as a firm has decided to provide you help with all these services to take off the burden of the process from you.
Because, I know what it takes to go through this stage of your TEF $5000 Seed Grant, I encourage that you should work with professional throughout the entire period.
We can help you with all the different stages and can assure you that working with professional will help you maximise your time and take the stress off you. Otherwise, you will just toil and lose a lot in terms of time.
If you are ready to work with us, you can reach us on any of the contacts below +234 810 563 6015 or +234 807 635 9735 (both WhatsApp enabled).
